Finnicky Fog light

simple

My left fog light only turns on if the bulb is barely half way in the wire connector. If I fully seat it in the harness, its a no-go. Any ideas?

Thanks

The connectors may be dirty, especially if they did not have a bulb in them for a while and were exposed to the elements. Or if you happen to live in an area with alot of dust, dirt, or mud that gets in that particular area. Just a thought.

Sounds like a connection problem with either the socket contacts or the bulb contacts. Check that the socket contacts are clean and not bent or damaged. Likewise make sure the contacts on the bulb are okay. If everything looks good, then swap the the bulb from the Right Fog Lamp into the Left Fog Lamp, if you have the same problem then the socket may need replacement. If there is no problem then the left bulb needs replacement. You can also swap the left side bulb into the right side to see if the problem then occurs on the right side, which would make the bulb suspect.

Sweet. I'm going to need a socket replacement. This is the 2nd time I've replaced that side bulb very recently. I'll try and spray some electrical cleaner in there first.
