Firestone Destination A/T vs Goodyear Fortera Tripletred

Did you buy the stock size in these A/T's? Looks great...I've got the same exact setup/color, so your pics were perfect.
I don't have anything to say about the GY Fortera.
For the Destinations, as mentioned above, I too like them alot.
In comparison to the stock Bridgestone, the tread pattern looks more aggressive, good enough for me. They're smooth and quiet.
At 37 psi, they seem to ride best for my liking.
At 13,000+ miles, mostly highway, they still look fairly new and haven't been rotated.
I don't have any close up pictures of the tires but hope it's good enough to give you ideas.

I'm glad I found this post, but I'm not sure how much help it's given me because it appears to be about a tie LOL! Actually, the opinions are very informative.
I will be in need of some new tires within the next few months. I replaced the stock Dunlops with GY Fortera Tripletreads about 50,000 miles ago (somehow got about 50,000 off the Dunlops - mostly highway). I have really enjoyed the Tripletreads. While they are starting to slip out on me a bit now, when they were new they stuck to the road like glue - evidenced by the initial 1-2 mpg loss in mileage, ouch! Amazing performace in rain and excellent in snow as well. They are a little louder now than at first, but when new, they seemed fairly quiet. The other thing I really like is that they look awesome on the 4runner, very tough, but not too rugged. I received several comments about how good they looked when I first put them on. I never realized they had a rotation issue, they have worn very well. I don't really notice a balance issue either at high speeds, so I might have gotten lucky with that.
I am now considering trying out the A/Ts only because they seem like they are getting slightly better reviews on tirerack. I also am not sure about the white lettering, but if they can be mounted white side in, I guess that shouldn't matter (didn't know they could do that). I don't do any offroading, so that's not important. I really want a tire that is quiet and excellent in rain and snow, because we live in a very hilly area and snow can be a problem at times. I was going to look at the Michelin Cross Terrains to help with mileage a bit, but they dont' seem to be getting quite as good reviews in the areas I find important. So, for me, I think it's stick with the tried and true GY Fortera Tripletread, or venture into new territory with the A/Ts...decisions, decisions!

OK after a tough Year .. I am finally on my way to the Shop later this afternoon to order my new set Tires...I just cant' go another winter with these POS stock tires anymore or I am gonna endup killing myself or somebody else because of no traction. I will be posting pics tomorrow.
I am going with the Destinations AT's...These are going to be the Winter tires because I still want to upgrade to 20" s wheels.....but in the summer .

Now that looks like fun, ....., but what is that white stuff all over the ground? Not sure who was running the camera, but they got kind of brave there at the end - female driver doing donuts in an SUV, very dangerous - LOL. Hey, glad you finally got the tires and that you are enjoying them.
