First Post - New '05 4Runner, looking for ways to upgrade the stereo

Sorry to thread HIJACK but the scion radio with aux input, does that only work with ipods or any other mp3 player?

No idea but if you can get a regular headphone jack adapter cable, it might work. I just burn 700mb of mp3's and listen to the cd.

A cable for the headphone jack!? Isnt that for the output? Whereas the ipod aux port would be for input? How would that work

I don't know much about these connectors but I believe the iPod adapter has the iPod connector. With a regular MP3 player, you would have to use the headphone jack to hook up to the stereo. Might be a cheap RCA to mini or 3.5mm jack adapter with the aux cable.

The single disk scion HU color is the same orange as ours, but the 6 disk and the iPod one give you the ability to change the color of the display (not the buttons)
I just installed the iPod capable one in my truck this am, it sounds AWSOME compared to the stock HU... I still part of the cable for the HU tho.

eBay. 135. The 2006 HU (Single disc) seem to be running 100 - 150 right now. Slight redesign in the HU from previous year makes them more in demand atm.

If you can find a 2006 under 100 bux, you are getting a great deal.
