For newbs (like myself) to the awesome community that is the t4r forums.. what were some of the must-haves when you guys got yours? I just got a 06 limited v8, and its stock as stock can be. Just seeing what the popular options are too see whats out there and the creative setups some people have. Any input is welcome!

The lift was first! Then tires, stereo, and HID lights.

I first went with a Pioneer HU with Pioneer speakers and a 12" sub with a 200w amp.
If you're looking for performance/badass sound, I'd go with a K&N cold air intake and a magnaflow muffler or cat-back system, whichever your budget allows for. The combination of those two have made for about 10 more hp, dyno tested, and it sounds great for a V6, imagine a V8!!

I also did an interior swap to change the repulsive Toyota amber to a nice blue and white combo. www.T4Rgaugeswaps.com

Whats the process for the interior light swap? Id be very interested to get the speedo area and the hvac controls done. I just checked out the website and they look awesome!

First purchase was a set of WeatherTech floor liners, to keep the mud, snow, etc. off the carpet. I'd recommend them or Husky liners.
Then I swapped out the HU for a scion with ipod input, swapped all interior lights to LEDs, installed an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass while I got some use out of the POS Bridgestone Dueler H/T's that the seller put on just before I bought it.
When those were finally worn, I installed a 3" lift and some new tires.

floor mats !
forget that lift and off road stuff (leave that for the little jeeps, a 4 runner is too wide to get between the trees)

Thanks, glad you like the look of the gauges!
The process is pretty simple, remove your gauges and hvac unit, mail them to me, I swap with whatever color/color combo you want, and ship them back. I usually have a one-day turnaround time, sometimes two days.

the scoop hood was her first upgrade
then:
the 4runner floor mats including the hatch one
6 disc cd changer instead of the single
toyota stem caps for the tires
new tires
personalized license plate with her name on it
and pretty soon going to add the rear spoiler

TRD decals and of course the T4R.ORG decal. Both added lots of horse power :biggrin2:

JVC DVD deck, Kicker 10" sub and old pioneer amp.
T4R.org stickers last fall.
About to pick up some FJ/OME springs generously donated to me, won't be installed until XREAS gives out though.
Spoiler is next on the short list of mods, followed by tires. As with sonerick, the dealer put a set of H/T's just before I picked her up, gotta let them wear out then replacing with something more capable.
