First run of the season

I decided that i didn't want to spend my afternoon sitting around the house watching TV. so i took the 4Runner out for some fun. it ran like a champ as always. BTW, the wheels are holding up nicely. no chips as of yet and i thought this would be a good time to test them. again, no issues

also, something bad of course had to happen. when i was going over the rocky area, i heard a nice loud pop from the front end. my left sway bar link gave way so time to order some new ones. when i replaced the links on my 91 Pickup, i got some Energy Susp. links with poly bushings for $25. it doesn't look like they make any for the 3rd gen. any suggestions?

I know the Energy Suspension website itself is pretty difficult to navigate so hopefully the link above will be much better.
For the sway bar bushings, you can probably get that off of www.wheelersoffroad.com but the end links and the bushings can be probably be found at the website above. Hope this helps.

man i wish i had trails like that!

i would love to get out and play but the city dosnt really like atv, dirt bikes and offroaders.... and i dont know where some trails are around kansas city....

i have heard of people taking off the swaybar link durring offroading to help with flex, but i have never looked into it, mine broke about a year ago and i just put a stock back on... sorry not much help

Yes, www.wabfab.org has some quick disco endlinks that are MUCH beefier than the stock versions. Comparitively, the stocks look like popsicle sticks. They are cheaper, too. I had them on my 98 4Runner, and loved them. Plus, you can disconnect them when you go wheeling.
