Got this at Cabelas,I think its called a "RodLoftPro" ( just google it) It will hold up to 6 rods, I only use the three. once you set it up it takes a couple of minutes to install. The front rod attaches to the handles over the second row seats and the rear attaches to the hanger clips in the rear. ( I don't know if the third row seat configuration has a different ceiling attachment).

Where did you put them? I put 5 on the roof with 5 camping chairs for me and the family. Use 2 ratchet straps to snug it all down.

My set up. Simple clothes racks. One from Walmart and one from atuozone....they match btw. I use gear ties to secure rods. Quick on and in a minute total lol. I can ride/store a 7’6” rod probably 8’ but don’t have any that size.
I also have a front hitch and ski rack for when I go to the obx. I leave Saturday actually for a week of fishing, can’t wait!!!

Have the same setup and I think the clothes rack was $14 ea at Target...so that is $40 all-in including gear ties.

This setup looks good-solid and close to the roof. I'm guessing pretty cheap too! it would be good to know how you secured it to the hooks and handle in the 4Runner.

Oh I was asking 5280 TRail-Runner how he did his, too! I haven't bought my Rod-Up yet. If the roads improve here in Denver today I plan on getting one and giving it a go the way he did. I PM'd him but it doesn't look like he's been on in a while. I'd be happy to send a pic if/when I can get a set up like his done, pretty sharp!
that would be awesome!!! I cant figure out how he did it... I see the suction cup way you can mount holders on top... Id like them as close too the roof as possible... I have Okuma Cv45's id like to throw up there and my st croix (keep the st croix perm in there - never know where you might stumble across a good watering hole)

My hangers have plastic hooks on them. I always have my gear bag with my waders/boots and I just hang it on the rod to keep some weight on it. Other option is to add a D-ring under that rear hook and then just loop a gear tie through the open end of the rod hanger.
Up front, I just use a gear tie around the rod and then wrap it around the ceiling handle.
I am going to work on 5280 TRail-Runner's method with the Rod-up system but for now what I've been using this cheap setup.
I removed the coat rear racks and installed D-rings. I used a bungee cord but it was too bouncy so I got some paracord and clips to tighten to try and lessen the bounce. It works but it still bounces sometimes.
I got a cheap clothing rod from Walmart that was made for a car and put a pool noodle around it. Attached the rod to the handle bars in the back seat with velcro.
As the rods are all normally 9 feet I put in some small bungees in the front.
I had 10 rods, mostly 9' fly rods but also spinning rods of various sizes, in the 4Runner last week and it works. Hooks do get snagged on the bungee/paracord if you aren't careful though. I am hoping the Rod-up will eliminate the bouncing and make it look a little nicer but for what I need this has been working and it was really cheap.

Sorry guys I have been working on getting packed for my trip. I had a couple custom rods built for this trip and had to balance one out and that took me a couple days of trying a couple different options.
The rack from Walmart has molded hoops for the rear hooks in the hatch. I tensioned out the rod then wrapped a gear tie around each hoop/hook....solid!
The rack from auto zone gives you a couple different options for mounting. What I did not use.... Metal loops that will allow the rack to hang on the hooks at the grab handles....too low for my liking!
It has hooks that’s what I used on the handles themselves. Also put a bungie on one across to the other handle....this makes the handle and rack stay up higher to give head room for passengers. Fishing rods go above rack between it and headliner....don’t really need to secure there if using gear tie in the rear.
On the rear rack gear tie over rack, rod is being held in place by gear tie.
I will take a bunch of pictures of my set up when I get to the OBX tomorrow or Sunday. I have a pump sprayer, cutting board, tackle center, line spooling station, front cooler rack and roof top rod storage. I will get you guys pictures if you are interested.
Hopefully the fish are chewing all week!!!!!
