Here it is day one, been driving this since I was 16. Aside from 2 12" subwoofers in the back, I drove it stock for about 3 years.

Onto the good stuff...

I got sick of having 2 12" subs, so 1 10" subwoofer was installed in the rear storage compartment:

Staple ended up too near the sidewall to patch…just the excuse I needed to lift it. This picture was after dropping the running boards and adding SR5 front mud flaps too:

The original CV boots tore pretty quickly. In went new remanufactured OEM axles with longer silicone inner boots from CVJ Axles in Denver. No pictures of that.

Thanks Phd. I'll be watching your build thread for the supercharger. It's so much more fun to drive now. Plus knowing there is more in the skinny pedal if needed is nice.

Wish I could find LC wheels

I scanned craigslist for a while and ended up finding a good deal on these, then had them bead blasted and powdercoated. They would look great on your rig, I hope you find a set.

Thanks! Around Thanksgiving the URD 7th injector and 2.2" pulley for the s/c will be going on. Then I need to do some maintenance.

After that the list goes on...as I'm sure you know.

Thank you! The chrome bumpers kind of throw it off, but I don't want to paint them. I would go crazy when it chipped.

If you didn't want them to chip you could always Bedliner them. It's a look you have to like but it would solve the chipping problem.

Hmm that's a good idea....I'll have to think about that! I know BigFish's '01 had bedlinered bumpers before he replaced them...time to click around...

Yeah good call, I'll check his out too.

I really just want some actual bumpers, but I can't figure out if I want tube or plate because I like both. And then swingout comes into question. Plus I shouldn't spend more money on fun stuff after the s/c. It should be maintenance time.

I beadlined my hood and rocker panels and it wasn't too bad at all. The thing that took the longest was taping off the rocker panels and prepping them for the bedliner. I'm sure it would be a lot easier if you are just doing the bumpers because they don't have any clear coat to sand off. The only reason that I didn't end up doing the bumpers is because I am going to get aftermarket front and rear bumpers and I want to try to sell the stock ones.

Looks like you did a good job with it! How do you like it? Does it clean up alright?

And good point on trying to sell the old ones. Not an easy task even if they are stock I'm sure....steel bumpers are somewhere in my future too.

Thanks man! So far I really like it. My rocker panels were pretty beat up and had some pretty good paint chips that were starting to rust so the bed liner was the perfect solution. It wasn't terribly expensive and now I don't have to worry about rocks, dirt, branches, etc. scratching them up on the trails. It takes a little extra effort to get the bed lined parts cleaned up because the dirt likes to stick to it, but you really just have to hit it with a scrub brush and some elbow grease.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, I'm really hoping someone can use it but I guess we'll see.
