Thanks! It was so fun. Hell's Revenge was seriously the most fun I have had 4-wheeling, your rig should do some serious work out in Moab. Are you going in May with all the other Yotas? I didn't see a single other Toyota on the trails, but there weren't many people out there.
I added you on Flickr too.
Chop chop! Might be a good excuse to get a new muffler and piping.

Yah I will get out there one of these days but it's not looking like it will be this season. IF time/money permits though, I have my eye on the Rubicon in September.

Hey man where in Colorado are you from? Also, I see the CSU sticker on your rig...did you go there? I graduated from CSU in 2009, Ft Collins is an awesome place. Amazing food and beer! I'm in south Denver so we should meet up sometime and wheel!
Also, did you install your lift yourself? I'm looking at buying a kit from Toytec in the next month or two...I've never messed with suspension before so I don't know if I should have a shop install it. It seems fairly straightforward doing it yourself though, let me know if you could maybe lend a helping hand? I'm probably getting the complete OME kit, but I heard the rear rides stiff so I'll probably switch to the shocks you have in the rear, the bilstein 5125. Do you like the ride of your OME 890s with those bilstein 5125s for a daily driver?

Hey dude, thanks for the compliment and for looking at the thread. Yes, I go to CSU right now - I'll be graduating in May. I really love Fort Collins, so that will make it tough to leave! I'm always up for some wheeling so let me know if you want to make a run somewhere. If we plan one up here soon we will post about it in the off-roading section of the forum, so keep an eye out.
I had help from a buddy who had lifted his 4runner when we lifted mine, so that made it easy. It is super straightforward, and lets you learn about your suspension so you can diagnose any future problems more easily. Plus it saves some money that could go towards tires or bills or whatever. I would be glad to help out if I can, so let me know when you get to that point.
I have no complaints about the ride with the 890s/5125s. I might switch to the Toytec superflex coils but that's just because I want a bit more lift in the back. Still undecided on that though. I think you will be happy with the OME lift, but if you can shell out a few hundred more I would consider the Toytec Ultimate or Boss kit since they have adjustable coilovers up front that can compensate if you ever add extra weight or want more/less lift.

Found a good deal on some 285/75/16 duratracs with similar tread depth to my 265s, so I jumped on the deal. [MENTION=82211]TCMach[/MENTION] tempted me with his MTZs since he wants to step up to 35s, but the duratracs suit my needs well so I went with them. I'm trying to find a single FZJ80 wheel so I can pick up a used M/T for a full-size spare on trails or road trips.
Anyways, couple poser shots from the weekend. I took the 4runner up into the hills to do some research for a school project. Found this rock conveniently where we needed to park I wanted to see how the 285s stuffed into the wheel wells, so naturally I had to park hard.

I'm also in the process of repainting my grill. I was going to buy an aftermarket paint-to-match and have it sprayed by a pro in hopes that it would hold up to chipping better, but I don't want to spend the money on that right now. It will just be painted black since I have some paint sitting around.

Thanks Tyler. The MTZs were unbelievably tempting. If it makes you feel better you can laugh knowing I have to find some random spare since I only bought 4 tires...I'm in for wheeling, hopefully something opens up soon or we will have to travel South I think. :driving:

Haha Luckly one spare shouldn't be too bad to find. And yea south may be the only way. They seem stingy about opening shit up here. My friend went on buckhorn road for whatever reason and said its still closed at the rangers station.
In the long run I'm glad you didn't buy em. I have some stuff lined up for summer that I couldn't have done if I did 35s and the BL and all that. Should be fun!

Completed a few more things over the last week - new lower ball joints and inner/outer tie rods with some wrenching help from [MENTION=82211]TCMach[/MENTION]. Wasn't planning on the tie rods, but we got the LBJs swapped and the tie rods were looking worn, so went to Napa for parts and did the whole deal.
Also swapped some my OME 890s for LX coils I bought from [MENTION=89400]MrHentoni[/MENTION]. Blue/yellow/white on the driver side and green/yellow/white on the passenger side.
Before:
Ground to fender height was 38.5" all around with the 285s.

I'm not sold on the 2" rake, but it's growing on me. I may crank the coilovers up 1/2" or so, still undecided on that. However I really like how the LX coils ride around town so far. Now it's time for longer shocks, longer swaybar end-links, and some extended bumps.

Thanks man! Bills are a bummer, but first things first. I'll send you a text when it's wheeling time, probably won't be for a while though. I need to get the rear end all set up for these coils first.
