Fitting 6.5" in 2nd Gen 4Runner! HELP!

Hello Forums,

I currently own a 93' 4WD 4Runner, and I'm looking right now for great audio performance. I'm planning on using all-JBL equipment on a Kenwood KVT-696 Reciever.

I would like to know if anyone here has an idea on how to fit 6.5" speakers up front. The vehicle only hold 4", but maybe someone has found a way to fit bigger ones, or maybe someone has been able to install them in the door panels.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can buy custom kick panels from crutchfield.com I believe.
I plan on doing this in my '95 to fit at least 6" speakers in the front.

If you do not want to drill your own hole or re-wire a little bit, I would suggest the current speakers I have. Polk db series 4" speakers.

They provide decent bass for 4" speakers in the boxes that come stock behind the dash board.
Otherwise, they're still a little bit trebly for my taste. (They are only 4 inches.)

I have Polk db 6x9's in the back that provide a decent amount of bass.
