Five Star Rims

I might upgrade my rim to Five Start Rims. I have a seller with a set of four for $140 but one of them has a dent/ ding in it. Is it still good and can it be fixed?

Looks like a serious dent, personally, I'd pass. I'm in south Louisiana and just doing a salvage yard search on the web, the going rate down here for the 16" five spoke rim is $50 each for wheels in nice shape. Doesn't sound like too much of a bargain, at least not around here. Good luck.

Going to meet in three hours and pay $120 for the four of them. If it rim is structurally OK I will use it as the spare so will still need one more. If it is not structurally OK I will pass on them. Any tips for checking out rims? Never purchased used ones before. I think the dented one still has the tire attached and the other three are free. Is that a bad sign?

Depending on the age and tread life I would just use it as strictly a spare and source a fourth wheel. Once I find a fourth, I'd look at buying four new tires.

That lip ding is basically a non-event (to me)
I have an old Outlaw II with a way deeper dent and it's been holding air
and keeping balance for 6 months.

Buy rims. Enjoy.

Thanks for all the help. Picked them up last night for $120 and the center caps and lugs were included. Dent/ding is actually not that bad.

Plan is the find another so I can use it as a spare so will have a total of five. Near the end of the year plan on getting some Goodyear Duratracs 265/75/16 put on all five.
