Fix lights behind fan controls

Does anyone know how to fix the lights behind these fan controls? All the lights on the left, as circled in the picture, work.
Is this a quick fix?
How do I get all the dash trim off to get behind there? Is there anything else I should know?
I only noticed this this morning and it’s not a big deal but I might as well fix it when I get the time so any help would be appreciated

This thread should cover it. That assumes that you are only looking for the back lighting. If you are actually having problems with the lights that show the buttons have been pushed I haven't heard of anyone replacing those. The write up is meant for doing an LED replacement which you certainly can do, but you can also use OEM bulbs if you want, the process of opening everything up is the same either way.

how can I get my gear letters/numbers light up on a 1996?? When it's dark out, I just slide it into gear til I start moving ha ha

On the dash or on the shifter? I assume you have an automatic?

Shifter itself, cuz mine it's on the floor, not on the dash like the 98-02 I believe

Just went through replacing these bulbs on my truck. Shifter is a #74 and climate control is either a T3 or T4 bulb on vleds.com (or microwedge a or microwedge b) depending on which bulb is burend out. Superbright LED's also has these bulbs, though I've had fitment issues with them in past.

I just replaced all of the bulbs in the center stack (SR5, so different HVAC), as well as the three instrument cluster illumination bulbs and a few of the warning lights that were out.

Here are the Toyota part numbers (some of the bulbs come with colored vinyl 'condoms'):

90010-01041 - ECT/defrost switches
90010-01042 - rear window switch
84999-10860 - hazard switch
90010-06034 - instrument lighting (3)
90010-05126 - HVAC (3)
83120-60020 - warning lamps (26)

I don't have any pictures from when I did it, but if I remember it was just removing the parking brake trim and the shifter trim, and undoing a couple of screws to get access to the light next to the shifter.

When u replaced the ECT/defrost switches, is the “ECT” and imagine of rear window supposed to be illuminated with the other climate control lights?

When I had my hvac module rebuilt they told me that running LED lights causes a problem with the circuit board. Ended up having them put regular bulbs back in. It wasn’t more than 2 months after I put LEDs in my HVAC controls that it started malfunctioning.
