FJ Cruiser spring question

Well first off I just want to say hello and thank you for the wealth of information on this forum. This is my first post since I finally joined after being a visitor for a while. I don't know if this question has been asked before. I see that alot of you guys are putting FJ springs and shocks on 4runners, But when I look up FJ springs they have 4wd springs and 2wd springs. I have a 2wd V-8. So basically my questions are which springs can I use and since the spring rate is different will the springs have any adverse effects on the handling of the vehicle? I had x-reas shocks but they were shot so I got bilstein 5100's. Thanks in advance for any response.

From all the information I've gathered, the 4wd FJ Cruiser springs and shocks are the ones you want, and this applies to all 4Runners; 2wd, 4wd, V6/V8.

I bought them myself, but been backtracked with too much work to get the stuff on my truck. I got the rear suspension done, but not the front, but even still, it makes for a smoother ride. I'd love to see what would the suspension all around can do for bumps and leveling.

Yes, a few people have used the FJC springs w/V8's and had good results. The 4wd FJC springs are a higher rate and about 5mm longer than stock V8 springs. Approx. .5 inches of lift, maybe more if your stock ones are high mileage and a bit tired.
