FJ Cruiser Wheels

I have an 06 Sport with 265/65/R17. I am wanting to put the 16" FJ Cruiser TRD wheels on my car. Has anybody done this so I could see some pictures of a finished product? Is this even possible? If so, what size/style tire should I go with? Thanks

Since you have a sport you'll need smaller brakes in order for the rims to fit without hit the brakes.

Really. I just put new pads and rotors on the front like 10k miles ago. Could you elaborate on the brake issue a little more? Thanks

Sure. Their are two different diameter brakes on the 4runner. The SR5 and some limiteds have a smaller brake rotors and calibers that can clear 16's while the Sport and some limited have a bigger rotor and caliber and need at least 17 in rims.

Yeah man, im in the same boat as you, wanted some TRD trail teams on mine, but unless you downsize your breaks they won't clear.

Not to start a whole new thread, I personally prefer the sport wheels vs smaller TRD FJ wheels, why do you want the FJ's? Tire reasons?

It's not like I dislike my rims, but I really like the TRD rims on the FJ. As far as the brakes go, they put bigger brakes on the sport then then the limited? I have 2 wheel drive, if that makes a difference, I don't know?

well i cant blame you if thats what you like, def go for it. As far as brakes, hard to tell what you have, sports and limited typically have the same brakes, but some limiteds have the small, not sure about yours.
