FJ Rack on a 4th Gen

It's been discussed before and never resolved but has anyone successfully swapped a OEM FJ rack on a 4th gen. I found one locally for $50 and wanna give it a try. To my eyes it looks like it'd just need two holes in the middle on either side to make it work but I need to verify. For $50 bucks it'd be worth it to me to be able to mount side/rear lights, maybe a high lift, and my spare. Any info would be appreciated.

That's the plan. Sometime this week I'm going to try and hunt down the factory diagrams to see how far off it'll be.

Yeah I do which got me looking at my roommate's 3rd gen's mounting position. I think it's plausible, hopefully I can pick up the rack soon and see.

It's in Austin which is about two hours away. It'd have to be a weekend. So not sure. They guy is on FJCForums and he hasn't PM'd or emailed me back yet. I'll keep everyone posted as it unfolds.

I just got a Smittybilt Rack for mine but also interested if this works. I've always liked the look of that FJ rack..

I'd love to see that work out. I'd make that mod in a cold second. I've never been happy with any add-on rack.
