FJ Springs for $200

Hey all,

In process of hunting down some 07-09 FJ springs for the FJ/5100 swap (currently have XREAS with 235k miles on it, lol). Found a full set of used coils listed for $200 on the FJ forums (60k miles on the set) - think that is a good price or too much for just coils? If its too hight, are there alternatives to FJ springs that are comparable/cheaper?

Also, found the FJ's on Amazon for $400 - think that's a good deal too?

$600 all in (assuming I do the swap myself) for the FJ/5100 lift sound about right?

I think $200 is high. Normally you can't give away old springs but us 4Runner folks have created demand. I wouldn't pay more than $100.

usually rear 5100 are cheaper than 100$,i bought mines for 84$ and front ones for 96$,save a little but still saves......

i think its too much for fj springs with 60k on it.ull do another 20-30 and they might get shot ,not worth it i think.

Agreed, $200 seems high - I paid $80 for a full set with shocks earlier this year

Please be aware that you are not limited to 07-09 springs. The sticky write-up is very confusing and needs to be edited. Any spring 07 and up will fit.

For constrast, I scored some '14s with 22k miles on them for $125 shipped.

I just got a set of rears with 35K for $65 shipped from CA. $200 is waaaaaaaay too much.

$200 is high IMO. I bought a set of new take-offs from for $100 about a year ago with two shocks, rear I think.

I bought FJ springs. Used rockauto to look up the part numbers and found them cheaper on ebay. $58 shipped for the front set.

my moogs were 42$ front and 35$ rears from a web site i dont remember but they had the in a warehouse next to my house lol..i got lucky on those

I used Moog 4runner V8 springs. You'll probably get more lift out of the Moog FJ springs but I'm not sure.

I feel like I remember reading on here somehwere that Moogs are linear springs while OEM FJs are progressive. That would change ride quality quite a bit between the two if true.

Matrixman: I swapped out the XREAS in my 04 for the suspension off an 09? FJC. I needed the fronts, but the rear coils are just sitting in my garage. If you want to pay for shipping, I'll send them to you and you can have them.
