FL hail damage follow up. paintless dent removal?

Had a huge freekish hail storm a few weeks back. It killed my hood and roof. Not too worried about the roof (you can't see it unless you are in the NBA) but the hood was pretty beat up. I met with my All State rep and he cut a check for $3500.00. Every panel has dents. The list of mods flashed in my mind but.......... It's a 2 party check so no coil overs, rook basket or rims. Have to get it fixed because I still owe a few G's on it. I drop it off next wed at a paintless dent repair place. One that was recomended my All State- no fly by night operations. Not sure how the technique works but has something to do with the memory of the metal and heat I think? Said they would take off the head liner, break lights and head lights to get to the back of the dents. I with I could just get the hood fixed and keep the diff but they want it all fixed. Anyone have experience with this technique?

Most of the reputable PDR shops do an excellent job. I had someone dent my tailgate and a local PDR shop was able to pop it back out and it looked good as new. I also had door dings removed a few years back with excellent results.

My dealer's service department somehow managed to dent my fender in 3 places, but it was very unusual because two of the dents were dented out towards you and the other one was dented in like most dents. They had their paintless dent removal guy come out and repair the fender and I honestly could not tell there was ever any damage there and I was VERY impressed. I hope they are able to do as good of a job for you.
