FL4ROC Offroad Trip November

Alright guys, lets post up and see when we can get a ride together for november... i think for this one we should go to hardrock mx (www.hardrockmx.com). its very technical and cost around 25$ for the day but its WELL worth it... the weekend of the 9th works for me, what about you guys?

Kyle, I'd love to do that, but with my lift. I might not be able to get it on soon enough. I might start looking again at places around here to do it

It is really cool you got people around there who are willing to wheel. I have been trying up here in Chicagoland for a while with little activity. Can't wait to see the pics. :bigok:

I'd go but I woudln't be able to get my 2wd runner through the gate. :bash:

I went out there with a few buddies a few months back and the place is a lot of fun. Most of the stuff out there is way too technical for me, and a lot of the trails will put some nice scratches on the sides of your truck if you aren't careful, but overall the place is great.

There's a little mud, steep uphills and steep downhills and rocks. Well worth $25 to get in...

If I'm free that weekend I'll come out, but I'll be in the truck. I only live about 15 minutes away. :

hey i might be up for it too...i need a break in life right now...how far is this place from the JAX area? It looks like alot of fun.

I used to drive right by Hard Rock to go to my wife's parents house off Phillips Hwy and it would take me about 1.5 hours going up 301. If you can get over near I-75 and get off at Hwy 326 exit its only about 5 minutes down Old Gainesville Road. Otherwise you'll be coming 301 to 441 and then turning West on 326 to Gainesville Rd and then turning South.

I just got my lift pu ton yesterday so I'm in for sure. Sat. or Sun...doesn't matter to me.

wow, got quite a bit of interest in this trip!!

ovrrdrive is VERY correct about body damage, last time i went there 3 of us went in, and 3 of us left with fresh body damage of some sort. of course it was during a tropical storm so hopefully it will be a little drier this time around

derek, where did you wind up getting the lift put on?

Kyle, I got the lift put on at a local shop here called Tibbets. It's on University near UCF. Price to me seemed a lil high, but they were great to deal with and I was very confident in leaving my truck with them, which is worth a few extra bucks to me...

I bet there will be plenty of mud after the rain we've been having too. Hopefully it will dry out some by then though. We'll see.

I won't be able to commit until the week of. Any luck and I might bring a few more if I can make it.

haha, that is from hardrock... thats great... what an idiot to be using his brake on that steep of a decent

Can't go. I removed my rear wheels and discoverd I'm running 1/2 inch spacers. My wheel lugs don't even stick out from the wheel when the wheel and spacers are installed. Not cool and very unsafe. Buy the way I boiught this runner from someone so I didn't know about this little mod until now.

For those that have been to Hardrock before (Kyle, etc.), I ran into a guy from Texas at MMI who has a new-style (not sure exact year but like '06 or something) Tacoma. I talked to him shortly about the trip and he sounded like he might have some interest. I told him I had never been before but that I heard it was pretty technical. My question is, his truck is 2WD but he has the rear locker and A/Ts. Would he have a good time going, or would his truck be sitting most of the time? I'd feel bad bringing him all the way out there just for him to end up ridin' w/ me or something.... Thanks guys and looking forward to the trip....
