Flashing Maint Light?

That light is nothing but a timer. It flashes at the same regular interval as a warning that an oil change is coming up. And goes steady at another interval. That interval is reset every time you do the reset procedure. The only other thing that flashing light could mean is the engine is dying and needs to be replaced.
