Flip Keys - Chiped or Non Chiped

Hello everyone I'm new to this forum so sorry if I post this in the wrong area...

Id like to start by saying i recently bought a 2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5 from a used dealership in California. Everything works fine and I couldn't be happier. Only thing is that the dealership gave me one key for the vehicle. They key they gave me is pretty standard and all metal (no toyota rubber logo). The entire car is electric and I don't think I want to spend too much on an alarm so Keyless entry would do just fine. I found a cool flip key that has the built in remote for keyless entry. The seller says that the key has a build in chip that is programed easily by the buyer and doesnt need to be taken to a shop. My question is, other than getting the key cut and setting up the keyless entry do I need to program the chip or would simply cutting the key be enough? The reason I ask is because if my one and only key doesn't have a chip would the next key i buy need to be programed or does my 4Runner not have that Function. Below is a link to Ebay to the flip key i found. If you guys have any insight on this or where I can possibly order a key at a better deal please let me know. Thanks in advanced...

Flip Key Remote - Ebay

In case the link doesn't work, just go to ebay and type in "2002 Toyota 4Runner Remote" and you should see an Ebay store selling flip key remotes
