Flipped T4R

I was out on my daily walk after lunch walk in Downtown Dallas, and happened upon this accident moments after it happened (and before the police got there). It looks like this rental T4R was hit by a 2012(ish) RAV4, which then flipped once and landed back on it's tires. In talking to people that were standing around the accident, nobody could tell who ran the red light. Everybody walked away, with nothing more than a few scrapes.

This wouldn't have happened if it was A) a TRD Pro 2) toyota had put in more cupholders. Just saying.
 
the lights in downtown Dallas are not the easiest to spot. wondering if that caused the problem. i lived off of Elm St across from the Comerica building and still almost missed a few.

...or maybe because the idiots in DFW don't know how to drive. We have quite possibly the worst drivers on the planet.

Yes, I35 is like a bad combination of demolition derby and the autobahn.

As for the speed of the RAV4. Not sure but it ended up in better shape than the T4R.
 
Not gonna lie.. Dallas / Arlington area highways are confusing as hell .. Traffic during rush hour didn't help much either lol

35 through downtown is pretty shitty. I'll give you that. Especially with the construction and S of the Trinity. From AAC to Desoto...hate that area.

And 635 is pretty shifty.

But still...Austin traffic is so much worse than Dallas. Slower, dumber, braver.

Sorry, I didn't snap a picture of it. The RAV4 pretty much stayed in the intersection. The T4R was 1/2 a block away after flipping once completely and pointing 180° in the wrong direction of a one way street.

No, I always thought Southern California has the worst drivers on the planet.

I think we should just blame the lame DMV "Tests" that are given and the petty fines that are given for citations.

Going off subject here, but about 5 years ago I got 2 tickets within a month, it doesn't matter if they were legitimate or not, but I had to pay $800 in citations, traffic school for 1 of the tickets ($250 if I remember correctly) and because the second one was on record, I paid a higher insurance premium for 3 years, about $600 total extra for those years. So two tickets cost me $1,650. Ask me how I drive since then.

Now back on subject, I'm glad to hear that everyone came out okay from that incident and that the vehicle held up to protect the passengers.
