Won’t stop all but will stop some.......and I’ll take that. There’s no perfect solution but some progress is long long overdue. If gun sales to sane, qualified, reasonable people happens then fine......give each of them all 1000 guns for all I care........so long as they own them safely and are subjected to some inconvenience via a check mechanism of some sort on a fairly regular basis. But there’s too many paranoid fools out there who feel that the more that’s known about them then the more likely some governing body will get closer and closer to taking their beloved guns away. Preposterous.
You suggest doing nothing?

Your ideas of "progress" are antithetical to a free society. It's the very reason why the Bill of Rights was written and necessary to begin the journey of this Constitutional Republic.
Rights are sacred. All of them. Would you allow the same standards you are requesting to see applied to the 2nd amendment be applied to the entire Bill of Rights?
I'll give you examples of applying this type of logic you've been positing to our other Rights:
It's a different time, television and the internet didn't exist when the constitution was created, the founding fathers couldn't have fathomed there inception or how easily people could share ideals and communicate- so let's deny the 1st amendment rights of the citizens; for "progress" and "safety". Just aminor intrusion and inconvenience.
After all, every murder no matter what object or method used was born from the ideas of man. Wether religious, political or otherwise.
Isn't it time we "progress" and limit the way in which people communicate and think in general? So many evil acts have been inspired by the ideals of man- it's just common sense that we restrict them. For our "safety". Doing "Something" is better than doing nothing, you have nothing to hide if you are innocent, it's just a small intrusion...
Why even have a 4th amendment if you allow the police to inspect your property at random they can make sure you aren't up to no good- right? If you've got nothing to hide it's just a small intrusion and minor inconvenience to search you and take your property without due process of law. It's for "safety" and for "progress".
I mean by the logic posited by the anti rights crowd- that's where we could really stop people from committing crimes- randomly search and interrogate as many people as we possibly can every day and that would "progress" us to "safety"- right?
Outlaw as many things as you possibly can for "progress" and "safety". Screw it right- just a minor intrusion and inconvenience, if you have common sense and nothing to hide- why not?
No one "needs" anything other than food, water and shleter anyways. Ban it all!
Voting- um, yeah. That shit is dangerous; I mean most if not all of the anti gun/rights crowd can see the need for these "common sense" restrictions on voting, just look who got elected- DONALD TRUMP!
Along the same logic let's allow another inconvenience- IQ tests, drug tests and background checks to vote.
Come on guys! It's for "safety". I mean most of you have stated that Trump's dangerous tweets make you concerned for your safety.
