Flowmaster muffler super 50 or 70 series V6

hey guys, lot of v8 muffler talk out there but curious if anyone is running one of these two mufflers on a V6..

I'm looking for a slightly crisper sound on the low rpms, quite on cruising speeds.. and a little throatier on the mid to high range...


on flow masters website these are the two V6 options.. mild stock for the 70 series.. and moderate for the super 50s..


Im thinking mild stock 70 series is the way to go... Anyone confirm this?

I'm in the same boat and looking at the 50 delta flow. Seems like it has good balance between low rpm rumble and low highway drone from what I've read.

i was looking for options as well. best way to find what you want is searching what tacoma owners get. most exhaust info i find is for the v8 so tacomas come up with v6 options. im thinking of getting the 40 or 44

Go with the super 40, its what i got. I know it doesnt fit but as long as it has center in offset out it will, both 50 and 70 sounds basically stock

Yes sir with two adapters that go from 2.25 od to 2.5 od. Can be picked up at advanced out. Got all my supplies there.

so your saying the 70 series won't make it a little crisper in the low revs, quite while cruising and slightly throatier on mid to high range?

I would go with the 40 as well. The 50 sounded great to me at first, but once broken in, I'm not too sure if it sounds any different than a stock muffler with the resonator cut off. Or maybe I just got used to it by now.

i suggest you to get a borla, the flowmaster will sound louder, and drone louder, i got tired of it and got a borla and its more better for my needs.

Borla +1. I went from a Gibson setup, which I loved, but I mangled it wheeling. It sounds better and doesn't drone nearly at all. I am a v8 but I see the benefit applying to the 4.0as well. My buddy does have a magnaflow that sounds really good for a v6 I might add
