Fluid Questions...

Hi all, I just purchased a 96 T4R 4X4 with a manual and 135k miles. I'm new to the whole 4X4 thing and as I just bought this vehicle used from a dealer and don't know what maintenance has been done on the vehicle I'm planning on changing all the fluids within the next week. I've never changed differential fluid or transfer case fluid. Below is what I am planning on using:

Amsoil Synthetic 75W-90 for the front dif and transfer case

Amsoil Synthetic 80W-90 for the rear dif

Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG) for the manual transmission

100% Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil (ATM) for the motor oil, from what I have read over the last couple of days even high mileage 3.4s take well to synthetic oil.

I'll of course also change out the coolant and put in some fresh DOT4 for the brakes.

Let me know if I got the above right, sorry to be such a noob, just want to put good stuff in my truck and not mess anything up.

all sound like good fluids. The change to synthetic I would be a little iffy on. Maybe choose a semi-synthetic. I am a big fam of Castrol GTX. I have pulled apart motors that had nothing but Castrol in them and they were very clean. I run that and a quart of Lucas.

Sounds like a good plan, just a few things. I would recomend Redline MT-90 for the tranny, it seems to work very well w/ syncros and smooths the shifting a bit, you can put it in the transfer as well. The rear diff will be fine w/ 75/90, if you want to use 80/90 go ahead, just saying you don't need to. Why are you putting 10\30 in the motor, I would stick w/ the 5/30 Toyota recomends.

theres no harm in running syntho in the runner at high miles. if you have a leak now then dont do it as it will leak a bit faster cause its thinner but if no leak, by all means do it. its just a myth about the switch. i did it at 115....no problems!

run whatever you want... 5w-30 is whats recommended by yota. if semi is the way you want to go cause its cheaper..do that. i like changing my oil once twice a year...though i could go once a year but it just dosnt feel right!

Also, where is a place online I can order all the gaskets for the differentials just in case I break one and/or if one is in bad shape.

I was told that you should not just run whatever type of oil is reccomended byt he manufacturer. I thought you should run what is good for the climate in your area.
