Fog Light Connector

What am I missing guys? I cannot remove the connector going to the fog lights. I assume that the flat portion in the middle of the exterior connector is needed to push to release it...I tried multiple times with no success. What’s the secret that I’m missing?

Yup it’s there. Just need to squeeze and pull. Often times, the first time removing it is pita. Squeeze the clip at the lower end near the wire.

I usually push the connector together.. then push the release tab and pull apart. Those are fairly tight... so it take a little force to separate

Thanks guys...so simple yet so tight....the passenger side was easier....once I pressed the inside bottom hard and push slightly together it came apart

I installed 3 way fog lights from @caliraised that my daughter bought me for Christmas....took for a quickie ride and it’s pretty cool. Has 6000k bright white, 3400k amber and 4000k wArm white like OEM’s...will do a review and write up after fully testing

Fog Light Help Needed

I just put in new LED bulbs for my fog Lights (Alla Lighting H16 LED Fog Lights Bulbs 3000k Golden Yellow Xtreme Super Bright 12V High Power 3030 SMD LED H8 H11) Everything was working fine for a day, then all of a sudden nothing. They won’t turn on at all. I checked the fuse and it is good. Any ideas? I’m stuck. Thanks.

if you have a volt meter that would be quick. If not try an old bulb to see if they work

Almost sounds like what I did....driver side fog wouldn’t light. Polarity was correct but found connector not seated tight.

OK, so just like magic, they are working again. The only difference was the temperature. It was 15-20 degrees in the mountains and now that I am back home they light up. Nothing else was changed. I’m mystified. Do LED’s not work well in low temps?

They should work fine. I would guess its a connection

Remember metal expands and contracts.....I agree with [MENTION=327840]ForRun[/MENTION] ....take connector apart and reinsert - do several or more times......you could also apply a little electrical lube found at the auto parts store that is used on headlight connections.....
