Fog Light Help Please!!!

I have a 99 4RUNNER SR5 and I just purchased the OEM small fog lights for the valance, a toyota 3 prong switch(w/light - 00550-35976) and a relay for the fuse panel under the hood.

Everything is ready to go, but I cannot figure out how and to what to connect the switch to.

The 99 comes pre-wired I'm told...and the fogs are pre-wired, but where do I connect the switch to? What wires?

In the cab I pulled the fuse panel off.., I have "2" wiring harnesses that I have no idea what they are used for. I've read bulletins about this and from 2000 on up you use the C13 connector under the stearing column, this shouldn't be the case for the 99 since they are pre-wired. Plus my C13 connector's wires are different colors that indicated on another thread.
I know someone has had to of done this...please help....

Help Please.

Thanks,
BigSystems

I'm not sure if a three prong switch will work. Is it an illuminated switch? Then maybe the 3rd wire is for illumination. As for turning the lights on and off, when I did this over the summer I connected the switch to the wiring harness near the bottom of the steering column. I don't remember which wires they are, but it sound like you have some sort of directions. If you want a completely clean install you could buy a new turn signal stalk with the fog light switch built in.

Good luck

I installed the OEM Toyota/Hella MicroDE fog light kit in my 3rd gen. The instructions show you which wires under the steering column that have to be tapped in to. I can e-mail you the instructions in PDF format but they're for my 2000. PM me your e-mail if you want it.
