Fog Light Retrofit

Hey everyone. My T4R didn't come with factory fogs, so instead of getting factory fogs I want to put HID projectors. I know there are some threads on this topic but just wanted to ask a few things that didn't get covered. I've been looking around for the projectors that people have been using. Blazer fogs, couldn't find the anywhere, not even ebay. I've come across these though, heres a link.
Projector HID FOG Lights KIT Xenon Bulbs Ballast Relay FOR Custom Bumper Install | eBay

I think these might just work. I just need a second opinion before I pull the trigger on this. They cost about the same as the Fusion fogs but also include the HID kit.

Another thing. Is my T4R prewired for the factory fogs? Looking under the bumper I could see some connectors hanging around there... Also if I put a factory fog light switch, I would like to use the factory set up. Is there a place it would just plug in? I want to avoid fishing wires through the firewall)

Let me know how it goes, I am looking to do the same thing. I need to finish up a few other mods first though. Good luck with the retrofit.

Thanks for the link. Mostly what I needed! The only thing I'm not sure about. How do the factory fogs turn on? Is there a separate switch or do they just go on with the headlights? Mine is 2002 Sport. Will I need to get a new turn signal stalk? Do the factory fog light equipped T4Rs have a different stalk, is that why he installed a different one?

Help will be much appreciated!!! Thank You!!!

I will be updating this thread as I go along with it. For now the fogs are ordered and I'm waiting for them to get shipped.

They are on a relay that switches on with the headlight low beams. I bypassed that on mine so I can have them on with high beam low beam or just the parking lights but still use the factory switch. If you want I have a few pics of what i did and can make a quick write up? Just let me know!

Sure! That would be very helpful! So from what I understand if I wire my fogs to the factory connectors under the bumper, they would simply work with turning on my headlights?

If you do the factory fog install to a T with out the mod i mentioned they would only turn on with the low beams. I am not sure how much help it will be but take a look at my link in my sig for my hid's in factory fog write up it may help a little.

The fogs from ebay got cancelled and the guy said I should place the order again for some reason. Anyway, before I order them again I decided to stop by a local performance store. They didn't have any projector fogs that would work for me but they had this.

Its an LED fog light. It has pretty big chip in it. The guy there was assuring me that this is much better than HID... Also no ballasts and such, just two wires. So what you guys think? Anybody ever used or saw these in action?

Update: Found the same ones on ebay.ca/itm?itemId=130801195246

It says they are 6000k HID equivalent brightness output.

you cant really compare the two, brightness is measured in lumens, 6000k is the color temperature of the light, i bet its bright but i doubt it has the throw of a hid projector for light

They are not brighter than HID... That guy was filling you full of sh!t... I have those on my bowfishing rig and they are not even as bright as a higher end mag light... find another seller with those fog light projectors i know there were several there when i was looking...

I just got around to installing those hid fogs from ebay. I'm wiring the harness and checked the stock fog connector. I'm not getting any power in it with headlights turned on. Is that why i'm suppose to get a new stalk? I'm also thinking about just putting in a separate switch for them and not use the factory fog wiring. What you guys think?
