Fog Light Switch connections

thanks loner! so the feed off the diff switch illuminates the new switch and provides power to new fogs? I guess I need to get in there and start lookin around...

No, sorry, you should only use the line coming off the diff lock switch for the illlumination to the new switch.

The power to my driving lights goes through a relay (you ARE going to use a relay, right?) and I used a line tapped into the headlight circuit (at the headlight itself) to trigger the relay and turn the driving lights on. It is this line that comes off the headlight circuit that I ran up to the switch, and then back to the relay.

thanks for the info loner...I am using a relay...whatever comes with the Hella 500's...at this point, I cant do too much till I get all of the pieces I need...

Thanks to all those that have contributed to this thread. I made a diagram to help me do this install. I combined information from this thread and the PIAA 520 instructions. Here's the diagram. I'm just now waiting for my Westin safari light bar.

Like a charm. After reading this thread I have clear understanding of the install. I'ts like I've done it before. :D I'm still waiting for the tacoma switch, so I'm using the PIAA switch for now.
