Fog light wiring

The 99 model is prewired but not that way. You will need a relay, a fuse, a turn signal switch with fog light and some fog lights. Everything is plug and play.

Can I use a regular switch like a toggle switch?

You can, but you will have to tap the fog light wire in the steering column and you would still need a toyota relay and fuse. Why go through the bother when you can run the wires and relay that comes with your lights?

Because the lights are good but the wiring is suspect.

you've got me confused...
You have 4Runner Limited fog lights already in place? If so there are connector plugs in place near the bumper yes. But I did not think SR5's ever came with Limited fog lights so the in-cab portion of the wiring may not be present.
Hence Singtoes suggestion to simply bypass the factory wiring and feed your own to the light and connect your own toggle switch. Personally I always like the option of controlling the lights on my own, not just in tandem with the brights. I rarely use relays-just a fusible power link from the battery.
