Fog lights already broke?

Yeah i think thats what i'm gonna do because my casings are kind of flimsy anyways. Do you have any recommendations for lights? I want PIAAs but they're out of my price range.

You're missing the point. It's your fuse and bulb BECAUSE you're wiring is f*cked up. I would strongly encourage you to recheck your ground.

^^^Agreed. If just the bulbs were going out, I'd say that's a quality issue with the light housings. If the fuses are continually blowing, there's a reason...and it's usually poor grounding, as PB Rescuer said. So even if you put GREAT lights on there, you'll still blow fuses. Check the wiring...and make sure to remove the paint at the ring terminal where you have it grounded. It'll make ALL the difference in the world!

FWIW, I run a set of $18.98 Wal-Mart driving lights on my Runner and went through several bulbs right after I put them on, due to the cheapish housings not sealing up. But I haven't had any blown fuses.

you get what you pay for in lights... PIAAs, IPF, and LightForce are probably some of the best lights money can buy, hella is another good company but unless you get their higher end stuff, they use cheep plastic housings that are flimsy and not the greatest(stay away from their 500, 550 lights). PIAA makes the widest range of lights and have the biggest price range. their lights start around $175 and go up from there. but check local craigslist adds for them used, or watch Ebay. take a look at my 4runner, all i run are PIAA and IPF even down to the head light bulbs and and turn signals ect. do you think i paid $200= per each set of lights i have on my runner? if i paid actual retail cost of all my lights id have over $1600 into the lights on my rig. i can assure you i spent way less than half of that. its ok to be cheep, just dont buy cheep stuff, you will regret it in the long run.

I agree with making sure your wiring is up to par first before buying new lights or replacing the bulbs again.

I just ordered the Hella Optilux 1450 clear fog beam lamps because they got good reviews, are all metal housings, and were only $34 shipped on Amazon!
