Fog Lights: H16 (5202) Full Xenon HID Conversion Kit

Sorry, but another install question on a different foglight kit I am trying to get working in my truck. I am guessing a stupid question at that.

It does not look like this HID bulb screws into the factory Toyota housing from the outside. Based upon the setup and videos from Xenon it looks like I may have to remove the foglight housing and install it from the inside instead by pulling the wires through?

Don't think the fogs would require drilling.

My kit did not come with any installation instructions and I am completely lost.

Just did this on my 2016 TEP.

The H16 factory fog lamp...is not a 5202 in HID. It's actually an H11 bulb for for this application. I had to swap 5202 for the H11 and they fit factory. If you pull your low beam H11 and compare with the H16, the fitting is identical. Go with 6000k in your low beams and 3000K in your fogs... you'll be quite happy with the results.

You can mount the ballasts without removing the bumper also, just remove the screws holding your plastic fender well and peel back. I had enough room to mount the ballasts with self tapping screws...nice and snug for a simple plug and play fit.

Appreciate the reply. I have the 6000's for my low beams and was initially not a big fan as I really did not remember what my halogens were like. Went back and installed a halogen on one light and the LED in the other for a fair comparison. In the end, I put back the low beam LED's back in and am happy. I also have the high beam LED's and they are AMAZING!

All that said, I got the HID fogs, per the part in the title of my thread installed and working but could not get it into the default Toyota factory housing. Very odd. I was good with pealing back the splash with no problem but the stupid thing was getting the bulb in the empty hole. Very frustrating. Did you get an manuals????

All that said it sounds like I should send back the H16 and get ANOTHER H11 in yellow @ 3000? Now that you say it, the fittings, as I remember should screw in just fine into the factory fog area.

LED's are the new way to go for sure. I'm getting some for my High beams and need to get the capacitor for the DRL's...

Sounds like you just need to swap your bulb to an H11 vs. the 5202 and it will fit right in your factory housing.

H11 3000 HED ... correct. No option I can see for LED in this area.
