Fog lights will not turn off

All,

My 04 T4R Sr5 has an issue where; regardless of the fog light switch being on/off, and the lights being on/off, the fog lights stay on even after I turn everything off, remove the key from the ignition, and lock the doors. They simply stay on. I've tried searching for a similar issue but cannot find a solution. I even left them on for extended amounts of time to see if they'd automatically turn off... and nothing. I've since removed the fog light fuse to spare my batteries life hahahaha. Any ideas?

Check the fog relay. Something funky could've happen to trip it and made it a constant hot.

Not yet. My plan is to change out the old relay for a new one (cheapest fix first). If that doesn't alleviate the issue, I will change out the switch housing next for a new assembly JIC it's in the switch itself.

You could check the terminals that the relay plug into. There should be two 12v pins and two ground (with ignition on/Switch on). Once off, it should be only one ground as the relay is ground side driven.

This is useful. Once I have time to try and tackle this (when the holidays slow down) I will put this diagram to use.

Mine does the same thing, I pull the relay and plug it back in and it's good to go again. Should I be worried? Probably, but I'll deal with it if and when that no longer fixes it..

I suspect a relay with how you're describing it. Your relay probably gets stuck open. Try switching a matching relay (with engine off of course since you do not need engine running to turn on fog lights)
