Fog lights with parking lights mod???

Did this mod tonight. Works perfect!

The only thing I did ''wrong'' was using the standard .250 female tab, so its not as snug as it should be (which makes me nervous...)

JA, thanks so much for the amazing website and perfect instructions. Do you think I should rip back in there and do it over again with the right size female tab? Or just let it roll anssuming there's no issues? (I just didn't have a .187 female tab and didn't feel like running back out). I also used 18 gauge wire. Hopefully that will suffice.

**Edit - Just went back out into the garage and popped the fuse cover and it does seem like that .250 female connector is pretty tight on there. I think I'll just roll with it unless I hear otherwise, such as it effecting the longevity of the relay/wiring/etc. Again - excellent mod and writeup.

Thanks for the comps! If you were going out to buy the disconnect initially, I would definetly have got the .187 size but the larger .25" shouldnt be an issue if it is snug enough, I've heard of a few who have done that as well.

Yeah, I just went with what I had in my little ''electronics'' toolbox. I thought I did have the .187, but didn't. Had everything else though!

I'll just let it roll then. Loooved havin the parking lights and fogs on this morning on the way into work. Worked flawlessly.

I did part one a while back and like it. I have HID in the fog and hate that they are constantly turning on and off with the high beam. Considering doing part two. How long did it take you to accomplish part two?

Dude its way to easy.. i did both in under 30min...part two was the easieast all u do is clip the 2 wires together with that connector...and thats it the wires r right next to each other..just peel some of the tape back and bammm done...lol
 
very useful mod.

i want to figure out how to turn off the tail lights when the headlights are on (for off-roading purposes)

I think I've become ignorant; I did this mod on my 05 Ltd and ran the wire from the bent up Fog relay to the 25A seat heater fuse...I completely removed the fuse, was I to bend or clip one of the bus fuse prongs off/away and insert jumper wire prong in missing bus fuse prong's spot or remove the fuse entirely and stick the .25" jumper male prong in place of entire 25A bus fuse? The lights come on as they now should, but I no longer have a heated ass...advice please.
