Fog Lights

2005 4Runner SR5 4WD. Has fog lights but no control on the multi-switch (headlights and turns). I bought it used so the previous owner may have changed the switch to only operate heads and turns ( although I have no idea why). Just wondering if I need to replace the switch for the fogs to work.

You may want to trace the wiring from the fog lights. See if the PO wired them directly to the headlights.

Do they come on when the headlights are on?

Negative. They do not come on with headlights on or parking lights on. I checked the bulbs and they are not burned out.

Heh. Sounds like the guy put them in, looked at the wiring, and said "welp, **** that!" :moping:

Are any of the black switches on the dashboard or center console taken up with a switch that shouldn't be there? Like one with a light emblem or something? Strange that they're there and not wired up.


Come to think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a 4Runner that didn't have them standard... I'm sure I'm just not looking hard enough.
