I went to a call to replace a hose bibb this morning. I was expecting a normal boiler drain type, but it was frost-proof. Damn. We don't carry those on our vans. Also, no one at home. Maybe I can replace the washer. I took the stem out and found this:

What the heck? A stem made of rolled sheet brass. It gave out at both ends. Unbelievable. How is this this piece of junk even legal to sell? I really wonder if it's a "counterfeit" knock-off piece.
