I currently have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks (photo shows three (RIP Mika)). I purchased a used 2011 4Runner because the 42" crate fit perfectly between the wheel wells. After a trip to Orlando with 2 dogs for our Nationals (from PA), I can say that it was the best buy I've made. Now I have a 2013 Mag Grey SR5. I attend performance events and shows with my dogs, so kenneling them in the car is a must! The kennel fits so well in the cargo area I can still keep the back seat up. LOVE THIS TRUCK.

I'll hopefully have my first 4Runner next month. The plan was to put the dog is the way back with some sort of divider above the back seats, maybe a cage. She, yellow lab, sheds more than any dog I have ever seen in my life so it will be a weekly challenge to clean all the hair out. My Tacoma looks like the floor of a barber shop.

Love this thread!!! Here are some pics of my kids and the reason why I drive Jeeps and now 4runners. I dont pick up my 4runner for another 3 weeks and then straight to the shop for a lift and 35's but heres some of my Bullmastiff & St Bernard in my Rubicons. I will have to remove the sliding tray out of the Trail premium since my St bernard is a tall girl! My Bull Mastiff Titan (My 2nd one) is the laziest dog on the planet and wont use a ramp. I have to lift both of them in and out of my rigs!

I love dogs, but am allergic to them so I can't have one. But I did put my friend's dog, Sammie, in the back of my car to see what it would look like. He took a quick nap in there while we were talking. He looks like he belongs there.

Looks like a lab/rhodesian mix to me, particularly with the head/face and chest marking. There are liver nosed rhodies, but that is a strong vizzy trait too.

We have a 6 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, named Maya. She is my 115 lb shadow.
