Adding in to this awesome thread.

Here is my 1 1/2 yo Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Kiwi. (Give her a follow on instagram @Kiwimitz_thecorgi)

And....just got a new 16' 4R Trail Edition. We took it for a spin to break it in. She was loving the back trunk space for her to run around in!



And a little fun when she turned 1 back in June haha.


Then have my 3 awesome golden's as well. Unfortunately they live back at home with my mom because we have no space in our apartment for larger dogs, but they are the best!

Thank you, we think so too. We've also got a rescued Pit/Husky mix back where my fiancees from that we're excited to be reunited with in April. His grandparents have been taking care of him these past 2 years. Can't wait to throw him back there too

Chihuahua, Terrier mix, and three cats. They've all adopted to the weekend rides to our mountain place fairly well.

This weekend will be the first trip in up there in our new 4Runner, so we'll see how the seating arrangements get settled. We will have the pet hammock in place, which is a new addition for our drives, and hopefully will keep the dogs off of the center console.

Great pics in this thread, but I didn't notice anyone using a pet barrier to ensure their dogs stay safe in the back (and to protect their seats). Does anyone use one and if so, recommendations?

Bella. 5 YO golden retriever. Lots of hair but loyal and intelligent dogs. She gets a lot of exercise! Mom walks her a few hours each day.

We go full kennel in our rig. Pup gets her space, and we can pack everything around it. She's as safe as she can get, and it keeps the car clean after hanging out at the beach or going on a muddy hike!

She's a 38lb. Heeler/Border Collie. Long, lean, and fits really well in there with plenty of extra space for longer drives. I have seen some people with up to 50lb dogs in this size (Intermediate).

She used to ride in the back of the Explorer but we kept the rear seats down. (There was even room for a full size Midwest wire crate when we used one in the past.)

With the 4R we've kept her in the back seat (with the seat cover shown above) to keep her near to us but it's clearly not the safest arrangement.

Big dog! I think that the large size would still fit in the back of the 4Runner without issue. Definitely the safest route, piece of mind for me :thumb:
