How do you guys handle your comments etc.


I always wondered why people would lock their comments and such on Youtube,

Now I know why

This was posted on this Vid from Illinois gulch,

My first inclination is to inform him that I dont need any help parenting, and that I happen to like how excited Jayden gets when I wheel and how much he
wants to help.

and I also want to ask him how he gets thru life if a 3 year old (at the time of the video) can cause him so much stress he has to comment about it.

Should I lock the comments to review them first or just block him and move on??

if the comments were made just about my driving and not hitting a rock, I would be fine, but I dont appreciate anyone telling me I need to "shut that kid up"

This has to be the biggest drawback to the internet. For some reason when people aren't face to face they become an ******* or a tough guy. It's incredibly frustrating but there's nothing you can do. Do you by any chance play online video games? I tried playing Call Of Duty with a few friends of mine and just couldn't handle the immaturity. You just have to step back and realize he's just some guy with nothing better to do. Be the bigger man by ignoring it, he'll just come back with someone worse if you comment. But yeah like I said I know the frustration being commented on like that, but your KID?! What a loser.
 
Ignore the guy. He is probably just jealous. There is nothing wrong with your kid talking! He should be excited!! :D
 
Yeah your kid had me rolling. Seems like a normal kid to me. Douchebags are everywhere, even on this forum, IMHO. Best thing to do is ignore them because they will only come back at you harder if you tty and be serious with them
 
****, if a kid doesn't get a little excited about that, I'd take him to the doctor. My kids never shut up, and I love it. It helps that I used to be a teacher. Keep on rolling!
 
Just ignore the nasty comments. There are so many morons out there and they all seem to enjoy being complete jerks on the internet! By the way, regarding the first video, when the body of your truck fell on that ridge I yelped! :D
 
The DB that wrote those comments is out of his mind Shon. I wouldn't have even hardly noticed your kid talking on the video if he hadn't of pointed it out, much less been annoyed by it. I hope that guy doesn't have any kids of his own (for the kid's sake)!

I deleted his comments and blocked him,

Funny cuz I figured I would get some snide comments from someone about my driving which would be fine to me,

I just never expected someone to give me parenting advice based on a 4wheeling video LOL

I like having the comments open so Im not gonna close em, but I guess I will just use my power to censor whatever I want, whenever I want! :biggrin2:

I would really like to know his answer to that question. He's probably a 35-year-old pants wetter that lives with his mom.

x5 on the general direction this is going. If folks offer some constructive criticism I am glad to hear them out-regardless of how poorly they phrase their opinion.

But when folks are just being a jerk-or obviously "looking for a war of words"
the only way to win is ban their comments or ignore them. I think we all know who is guilty of this on this very forum.

Like my Dad would always say, "You argue with a fool and who wins?"

I am presuming you still need that rear locker. I would have tried that step at an angle instead of straight on. And more flat rock "steps" would have helped you gain the height.

But it all looks so easy sitting at the chair just watching the video. As we all know being there in person is quite different.

Great to see your kid on screen and hear the wife's comments. Obviously you are teaching your kid and I liked her countdown method of control with him.

Good teamwork going on there!

Ditto on the needing a rear locker, that was early summer and its amazing how much better of a driver I am than that... Also, my front sits about 2 inches higher if not more in the front now and Im prob 1.5 to 2 inches higher in the back too, so I would need less rocks now I think.

Spotting is everything too, and I had a good spotter in 00Spork and SteezeMcqueen.

Yeah, its always fun to bring Jayden, a little harder when Lysas not there, but overall really cool to have him enjoying things.
