For those with Wheel Spacers!

hey gator, you have a lift. this guy's just going for spacers. it won't look like yours obviously.

Hey Rok, this guy has a small lift (his sig says daystar 2.5/1.5), just as I have a small lift so yeah it will look similar to mine. Perhaps you should check your info before you try to correct someone else.

And it's gater with an e

I have the same vehicle with stock tires. Did you have any rubbing issue like described in J.A.'s article?

What is the torque spec for putting on the spacers?

Bob

No, no rubbing at all. I'm still on the stock michelins. I recently put a 1 in level kit on, but prior to that, nothing rubbed at all. I can't recall the torque spec off hand. I want to say it's somewhere in the 85 ft/lbs range, but not positive on that. You may be able to find it on the spidertraxx website.

I believe J.A has larger tires. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I'm going to move to a 265/65/18 and see what happens.

I started with the 265/60/18's when I first installed my Spiders. I had just a tad bit of rubbing on the front wheel well liner. It took about an inch of movement forward to get a good clearance.

WOW lots of great info and appreciate all the pics....I think I will be going with the 1.5" spacers after seeing A10mile's. With my 32's already rubbing slightly, I think I will be doing some serious trimming.

And THEROK you should check out my build thread....I actually do have a lift, MTR's, and spent nice afternoon painting my stock rims. So I think the addition of some wheel spacers will complete the look I'm going for....

Here’s a comparison I did when I installed my Spidertrax. IMO the result is how 4th Gens should have looked from the factory. I have a slight lift (2020 Tacoma TRD OR on the front, FJ springs on the rear) & tires here are stock size Michelin Defenders.

And here’s a more recent shot with stock size Michelin LTX AT2s.
