Ford F150 Gas Tank Swap into 2000 4Runner

I'm glad I went with the Toyota parts. Plug and play once the tank is set up for it and everything works as stock. You'd never be able to tell the difference from daily operations.

The long term plan for this build is to install a 4Wheel Underground 4 link kit in the rear. This kit requires removal of the stock tank to make room for the links. I don't do much wheeling that requires extra gas. The gas can on my Tacoma has been there for 6 years and has only been used once on the street.

No problems since the build. Everything has been working great.

I'm planning on doing this. Just a little nervous about the welding. I'm not horrible but I'm not certified either. I have a little hobart 140 ti do it with. This project is kind of far out but I look forward to it.

I haven't had my 4Runner long enough, or wrenched on it all that much, but does having this rear tank in any way complicate or prevent maintenance or repairs back there, or a bumper upgrade due to more limited access?
