So you don't have 12v on your crank wire then. I'm not up to speed on the 3rd gen ignition circuit, but in my 1st gen world that wire goes to a starter relay, then a fuse, then the ignition switch. Trace it back, find the trouble. My money is on a wet connection shorting out and tripping the fuse.

Why would you just assume you have water in everything and just change all fluids? Check them all, it only takes a few minutes. Check your transmission fluid, if it looks like a milkshake, DON'T START THE VEHICLE AGAIN UNTIL YOU FLUSH IT, if not, then its fine and don't worry about it.

Transmission fluid is normal no pink milkshake. I ordered a kit with a new solenoid and contacts, should be here tomorrow. So some of the bearings are sqeaking as well, its not from the belts, but I cant tell which for sure, whats a good way to lubricate a bearing, and dont say wd40, that shit will wreck bearings.

Because its the smart thing to do and its cheap to accomplish.

Don't be a cheap and skip this step.

"Check them all" how would you even really know? What is 10% water got in there are slowly starts F-n everything up.

How much does it cost to change all these fluids? Not much.

You can go to a shop and get the trans fully force flushed (better than a drain and fill in this case) for $150-$200.

And you can do the rest in your driveway on the cheap.

Older thread but what was the solution to this??? I have the same issue with starter.

just to take out the starter and clean it out, you need to have the u joint extension for sure, also if you unbolt the wires while its still in the engine bay you can get the whole thing out through the side fender well without unbolting the exhaust.

also no pink milkshake.
