Hey all. Had to reboot my CVs today and I forgot to put the snap ring back on my passenger axle before putting the tulip back on. On top of this I don't have any spare clamps to use right now if I was to take off the boot to put it on (the OEM re-booting kit doesn't include extras)
Is it fine to drive around like this until next weekend or is that snap ring more crucial than I assume? I can't see the axle traveling that much for the splines to completely fall out, especially from a few days of highway driving, but a second opinion would be cool. It's there for a reason after all. Last thing I need right now is to grenade my CVs
Also if anyone has the part number for the CV boot clamps that would be very appreciated :boink:
Pic related is the one I'm talking about: the big one securing the rollers to the axle shaft, not the small PITA one that goes into the diff itself
If need be I can replace it tomorrow at the soonest but since everyone is gonna be closed within the next 20 minutes today is out of the question
