Found a Leak

New to 4Runner’s & recently picked up this 2006 V8 SR5. Only has 80k miles but has lived its life in the rust belt near Lake Erie. Lots of surface rust underneath but no rot or damage. Noticed a leak this morning on the ground under the front drivers section of the motor. Seems to be coming from this line sitting on the frame. I haven’t had a enough time to look it over yet though, so maybe it’s actually somewhere else? Any ideas what this line is? Thanks

Looks like the transmission cooler line. Should be one just like it going to a spot on the radiator above it as well.

This is what I suspect. Fluid was very low.

If it is in the same, this is what I used, $20.79 on RockAuto (good time to also inspect any other issues just in case you need to order other items to save on shipping). I remember it being annoying to install, but I did not cut the original line for easier removal. Maybe take that route.

I believe I started from outside in. Hopefully you ended up figuring it out.

Edit - I had to do some other maintenance on my vehicle and taking another look, it may have been the opposite, engine to outside. Removing the front driver side wheel and the splash guard aprons will give you a better visual.
