Does anyone know how much lift Fox coilovers will give you up front? Most other brands advertise the lift as adjustable from 0-3.5 Fox just says 2.5 which I think is the diameter of the shock not the lift height.

Fox's come in a few varieties. Performance series & Factory series. The Factory series come in 2" & 2.5" diameter versions. The Performance are entry level and should be adjustable to 2.5-3" of lift no problem, if I recall correctly all of the Performance are 2" diameter. Factory are also ride height adjustable to
Do you know if the 2.5 remote resi can be run without aftermarket uniball upper arms?
Sort of. They make 2 offerings in the 2.5" resi. One for 0-2" lift that does not require aftermarket UCA and a version that is 0-3" which requires aftermarket UCA. In all honesty I am not sure what the difference is, but if you are going to be in the 3" range you will want new UCA's anyways. Plus you will need a sway bar relocate or remove the front bar (it will hit the spring).
The difference is what some companies market as "extended travel", which is basically a 1" longer shaft. That's what I run and basically you want aftermarket UCA's to be able to maximize the extra droop they give you.

Thanks for confirming my speculation. : thumbup:
From Fox Factory, the coilovers (either IFP or reservoir) should be preset to right about 2" of lift. You can crank up to 3.5" lift if you have the upper control arms and diff drop spacers. (not recommend to be that tall, will ride like s***)
We normally go up about 1/2" and add upper arm to correct alignment. Should clear 33" tires that are not too wide (12.5"+)
The 2.0" can be run without an upper arm, but that is why they only recommend 2" lift with out and UCA.
Any more q's, hit me up.
Can I run these on my 2005 4runner V8 4x4 limited?
sorry to revive a thread... but was hoping to get some help.
Can I run these on my 2005 4runner V8 4x4 limited? (4) Fox 2.5" x 10" stroke piggyback coilovers
Or is it an overkill? Do I need to upgrade the UCA's? I really am not very knowledgeable on this but it looks like a great deal..
Hi - Looking for a little help please, I have a 2016 4Runner 2WD SR5 I am trying to get level, getting vehicle level is my only objective, I will be using stock tires and wheels. I went to my local 4WD shop to have leveling kit installed (probably was going to get 2.25 Inch Leveling Lift Kit by Pro Comp)
The Sales Rep steered me to FOX 2.0PS Coil IFP for the front and to leave the rear stock. His opinion that the shocks and springs would be superior to leveling kit.
So I agree to FOX front shocks/springs and have them installed.... but now the front sits higher than the back. I took the 4Runner back twice and the shop said its fine as is, they did not want to make the adjustments.
Should I ask them to adjust it down again? talk to a Manager?
Should I ask them to take off the shocks and go with leveling kit?
I just want a level vehicle, appreciate your feedback.
