If I read correctly, don't the rear 2.5 with DSC only come in the 0-1.5inch lift application? I think only the 2.0 come in 0-3 inch applicaiton.

To my knowledge that is correct. And honestly I do not know why. There are a few folks around here that are runnning 2.5 DSC CO's and 2.0 resi's in the rear.

Thats typical even with ICON stuff. ICON's lower stages only have the 2.0 in the rear. On my Stage 2, thats plenty. Higher stages give you 2.5" on all 4 corners

I emailed Fox for an answer, seems silly not to offer 0-3" extended travel shocks for the rear.

Have you heard back yet? I'm in the same boat and would like to stay at 2.5 all around.

In looking at other options, would it be better to go with one of these for the rear:

They emailed me back promptly. This is what I have so far.

His reply:
"Hi Troy
I appreciate your interest in Fox shocks. The reason we set those lift ranges is because generally any truck or SUV comes from the factory with the rear 2" higher than the front. We call this "rake" or the stinkbug look. So our shock in the front will lift the truck 3", while the rear can go up to 1.5" to keep the truck level, or as close as possible. If you were to go higher in the rear, we might have the rake again.

If you want to let me know what your Radflos measure out at full extension I can see if our standard rear will work or if we need to look at a universal shock that is longer."

My response:
"Ben thanks for the swift reply!

I don't want to run non DSC shocks on the rear but do want to keep my rear 2" springs. This is kind of a make or break deal for a lot of people in the 4Runner community, I doubt many people will make the switch to Fox if they can't have DSC on all 4 corners. Having to switch to a non DSC rear shock to maintain their aftermarket springs ranging from 2-4" lift is a deal breaker IMO. "

His reply:
"I have sold our Tundra rear shock kit with DSC to a couple FJ and 4Runner customers with your size lift, and those measure 26" extended. The hose is clocked different though, so you just have to loosen a fitting and move the hose so it is pretty easy."

That's all I have so far. I'm currently trying to find out the length of my radflo 2.5 shocks so he can see how it compares to the tundra 26" DSC shocks.

I called Radflo this morning, told me they can't give me the length of the shocks because they don't want competitors to know. I told him I own your kit and have the right to know the specs...he said he'd call me back with some info, it's been over 4 hours and haven't heard back from him. It's a joke because anyone could easily buy a shock and tear it apart to get specs.

I just called Fox and spent about 30 minutes on the phone with them.

For my application (Daily driving with some off road)

2.5 883-06-130 in the front, that's 2.5 diameter and not inches
2.0 985-26-118 in the rear, also 2.0 in diameter

The 2.5 "factory" rears are their racing shocks and there for it has a bigger diameter, it is also made out of steel and not aluminum. It sounds like it would be over kill for daily driving and some off road.

He said most guys run the 2.5 in the front and 2.0 in the rear (diamter).
Also, with the 2.5 adjustable fronts, he mentioned that a lot of people run after market bumpers, winches etc.. with out any issues, in case anyone was wondering.

Hope this helps anyone else that was as confused as me.
