Howsit Dave, you been running through Irmas or Kaena Pt lately? I try to make an excuse to visit that side every other week or so just so i can throw it in 4x :cheers:
 
which OME springs are you running in the rear and how much of a lift did you get?

Was planning on taking my runner out to kaena for the first time this weekend but still having some issues with my lift. Maybe after I get everything dialed in we can have a t4r.org meet over there.

895E coils give 1.75" of rear lift confirmed by ARB before I bought them. Yes I'd be down for that and need to shoot some new video. Lmk

Haha yeah no shortage of those out here. I don't know how guys can handle the awful ride quality of those stretched wheels/tires on these terrible potholed out roads. I once went 33x12.5 on 20x10s on my 06' Tacoma and promised myself I'd never do it again.
 
Gonna order those and swap out my toytec hd springs out and drop the fronts first. Haha it was because of your video I decided to go with Maui off road to install my lift.

DeepSea- Howzit?! Kaena Pt is like the other side of the world from Hawaii Kai. I'm not sure about Irmas. If it's where i'm thinking the last time I went there someone yelled "who brought the F'n Haole" lmao! LMK next time you head over there and I may try and meet you. BTW love the new wheel/tire combo.

Irmas is the only place to drive on the beach anymore, even though still considered illegal, across from the traffic light by Sandy Beach. I'm surprised someone yelled the haole comment since most of Hawaii Kai is "F'n Haoles" :wink2: You should try to make time for Kaena Point as there are still some really good climbs and trails. Hit me up on IG and we'll meet up.

Yes I do have kdss. I ordered kings with toytec hd springs thinking that those springs will give me 2 1/2 inches of lift in the rear and I can crank the front up to 3 1/2, well after getting it installed and leveled it turned out to be 4 1/2 in the rear and 5 1/2 up front. I love the height of the truck just not comfortable with the uca and cv angle. So gonna order smaller springs and crank down the front. I’ll try and get some pictures tomorrow.

Did you do a diff drop? So i have the Trail with KDSS. I bought the Dobinson shocks/coils and was expecting 3" of lift as well. I was a dumbass and never did a pre lift measurement. Once I completed the lift i ended with;
front- 24"
rear 25"

whats your final measurement from center hub to fender lip? I need to remeasure because I know its settled some.

Ok. it wasn't Irmas. I know exactly where you're talking about. The spot I was thinking is right outside 'Nalo beach.

Yes did diff drop as well. Stock measurement was
front was 20
rear was 22 on the driver side and 21 on the passenger side

After lift
Front 25 1/2
Rear driver 26 and passenger side 25 1/2

These measurement are from center of wheel hub to fender lip
 
I see that you have the diff drop from toytec: what modifications did you have to do with the trd skid in order to fit correctly? spacers longer bolts?

Just widen the holes by drilling out the square skid plate spacers because the TRD bolts are wider. You don't need longer bolts though :thumb3:

Recently installed Mickey Thompson 295/70R17 MTZP3 on SCS SR8 Wheels. Really stoked to say the least. My favorite tire size now as I have ADD when it comes to wheels/tires. Started with stock then lifted my 4R with 285/70 KM2 to 305/65 Deegan 38 to 285/75 Nitto Ridge Grapplers to now these 295/70. I'm officially done with changing tires out Thankfully I have a dealer account with 4WheelParts so tires are basically swapped out as I resell them for cost.

They're holding up really well. Honestly I wouldn't have gone with anything different aside from getting a "Premium" Trail with sunroof:cheers:
 
I’m from south Florida and am over here in Hawaii on vacation. I saw this rig in a parking lot last night ( Roy’s ) when we went out for dinner .
Outstanding looking vehicle. Well done .
