I have the thinkware u1000 duo although I kind of wish I went with the blackvue. Over all it's not bad, it's just big and bulky. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the audio recording. And the lights on it are kind of annoying. I basically have to set my phone as a wifi hot spot to connect to it
It was very easy to run the cables for it using the head liner, really didn't take much time at all. I did not have to take off the a pillar panel
To mount the rear camera I cut out a small piece of sheet metal, made a small hole in it and it's being held up by those light grey head liner pin things, but if you want to make it really easy just go buy like a small sign that they would use on a restroom door and cut that up.

I have the U1000, front and rear combo kit. Very happy with it. I also added the radar module. clean install, easy install.
I'm kinda mixed on the radar, I have an odyssey battery and I'm not super worried about it wearing my battery down since I don't even commute these days. I might still get it. I kind of just don't like how big the unit is

Blackvue DRS900. But really there are a lot of good ones out there like Yo, Garmin and Cobra. I see no need for a screen when you can access live and recorded video woth your phone. Mine is wired to my headunit because I wanted parking mode to work and I already have an aftermarket headunit so I spliced into the aftermarket wiring harness.

I have a Blackvue 650 in front. Blackvue is really one of the best, but I have had it for 9 years now so I have been doing my research again. Its ether a new Blackvue front and rear or quite possibly the VIOFO T130 Uber 3 Channel.
What makes some of these units truly great is there parking modes and event recording. I love that my Blackvue is always watching over my 4Runner and i can check in on it if I want.
VIOFO is probably the best alternatives to a Blackvue.

I installed the Blackvue 750 2 Channel last year (not the newer X version) and love it. I ended up routing the rear wire into the hatch and installed the camera on the top edge of the hatch plastic rather than the headliner. I found when it was in the headliner I was constantly knocking things into it.

I purchased the longer cable option then a member on here sent me print files and I had a buddy print out a mount. There's a few on Etsy for sale now. I ran the cable along the door sill with the factory wring and rear washer hose. At the back I went behind the seat and along the inside of the passenger side panel then up the C pillar. I found this easier than trying to go above my headliner and above my moonroof.
