Front brake issues

hi Everyone.

So last November I replaced my front brake pads and rotors with parts from CARQUEST.
Sence February I have had shaking from the rotors being warped and now when I apply the brakes hard I'm getting a hard left pull with the front left wheel practically locking up.

Any recommendations or ideas on what to look at specifically?

I bolded the problem. You might have a caliper that's not releasing all the way, generating heat and warping rotors.

after checking the front brakes you need to both rear wheels and check the rear brakes too, cuz a rear brake not working will make the front brake lock up too. last year when you did the front brakes did you check the rear? because if the rear brakes are not cleaned and adjusted correctly it means your front brakes are doing all the stopping which means they heat up and will give you premature brake problems like you are having now

I am also getting intermittent stiff/numb brake pedal.
I am using premium pads from CARQUEST there rotors however are definitely too thin.
yes my rear brakes are clean and adjusted and working fine this just started happening recently.

Maybe I have a stuck caliper on the right hand side or bent guide pins?

When you brake hard, _both_ wheels should practically lock up, not just the left. Check the right side and determine why it isn't working. Plugged brake line, frozen caliper, contaminated pads are possibilities.

Damn, if you weren't in Northern VA, but South-East, I would have you come to my house. I could get the two fronts down to hubs in a couple minutes. If it were me, I would tear both brakes in the front completely back down.

Re-apply the rotors, and inspect the calipers. Make sure none of the plugs are sticking, and that they move freely. Re-install the calipers and spin the rotors. Have someone sit in the truck and apply the brake pedal while you spin the rotor. Look for signs of mechanical failure.

I tore the front right brakes down while replacing my passenger tie rod today......

Everything looks normal (I was alone so could not spin/brake test) pads wearing, rotors suck, all 4 pistons moveable without a hassle, pins look ok.
I put it back together, same issue remains I guess next step (again alone/tired/short of time today) is to try bleeding that caliper to check the brake line for blockage, that seems awfully rare though...


Thanks for everyones sugestions, I work retail so free time to fix my daily driver is limited. Hopefully I will figure it out next week when I am off work again.
