Front Bumper? (Aluminum) - Hefty Fabworks or CBI Offroad

I have heard positive feedback but did not like the 'plain' look of their front bumper

I have been messaging them about this today. I'm ready to order a Slimline style bumper, but would love an aluminum one. They did stop production of the aluminum version due to low demand. I asked if there would be a minimum number for a single batch to be run. I'll let everyone know what they say.

Ok, so if there are ten people willing to buy an aluminum version of the SSO Slimline, then that would be enough for a minimum order and SSO would work with Hefty on what current pricing would be. If anyone in this thread is still interested, send me a message. If we can get 3-4 it would be worth putting up a group buy style thread to determine interest toward getting ten.

Were you able to ask if the aluminum SSO slimline would be compatible with aluminum stage 2 protection? I really like the new look with the side front protection wings, but had heard only the steel SSO hybrid would be a bolt up for it no the aluminum.....

Sorry, not completely understanding what you are asking? The Stage 2 High Clearance Protection is currently only offered in steel. Are you asking if it could also be offered in aluminum as well? If so I would assume it would also require a ten order minimum to get the ball rolling.

Ok, unfortunately per SSO the aluminum mounts to the frame differently and as such the Stage 2 doesn't work. I'm hoping that if we get enough interest to move forward with aluminum version, then we can find out how many would be down for a Stage 2 aluminum version and we can get that designed as well. But dreaming now of course. Up to 5 interested now I believe.

Not 100% sure how the SSO stage 2 bumper mounts up, but I suspect that having aluminum bracing would be a really bad idea.

Wish the bull bar on the hefty was just a touch higher like the cbi. Ultimately it doenst really make a difference because it doesnt do anything really, but I like where it falls on the cbi more. Hoping to pull the trigger on one in the fall. Have the trd pro suspension with the toytec 2 inch lift and I've heard if you use fj springs it offsets the weight of an aluminum enough to keep a good height since they aren't adjustable (or a steel slimline). Full steel and a winch would be too much weight and would lose some height.

Have you seen the new bull bar? Much higher than the old. Wish they had this when I got my Hefty

I had seen that one, definitely better than the short one. If I remember correctly that one may stick much further out. Some go forward of the bumper more than others, I feel like that one did. Wife drives the car sometimes, would probably bump into something in the garage or a parking lot. If I did hefty would likely do that one.
