Front Bumpers for 5th Gens

Just read this entire thread! Loved the banter between steel and aluminum. I have a 2016 on order so starting to research my mods. New to 4R's but not Toyotas. Been a lifer Toyota off-roader. Anyway, another way to look at it, is if I put aluminum bumpers, aluminum skid plates, aluminum roof rack, my truck will sit higher and have fewer impacts, and the impacts I will have will not be as extreme, hehe! One of the things I really like about the newer 4R's is the front tear drop design. The Hefty bumper takes that design into consideration and I love that [emoji1591][emoji12][emoji1591]

Yeah, I'm really happy with it. Pelfreybilt will powder coat it black, but for other colors, you have to get it done. We had them ship it bare aluminum and had it powder coated. The color is Tiger Drylac Bengal White, which is a common color that most shops should have, and it matches very well.

Pelfreybilt is great with their customer service also. The wife and I were really happy with them. If you check out their website, Satin Pelfrey has a similar setup on her white T4R.

The lights are Rigid Industries Dot Sae, and the 30" light bar is a no-name from amazon. I'd recommend getting a better light bar because this one is already broken lol. About 1/3 of the LEDs are out. I guess thats what I get for being cheap.

Man I gotta say I think that Pelfrybilt bumper is ugly! That Backwoods bumper might be worse though... But Pelfrey does make a nice 2nd gen Tacoma bumper IMO. I really haven't seen any option that I love for the '14+. If I had to choose I guess it'd be the Hefty Fab. Maybe the Southern Style would be a good option since our new '16 won't see much if any wheeling for a while.

Somehow, I like this Hefty version better then the 14+ , especially in this pix.

What caught my eyes recently is [MENTION=17736]AddictedOffroad[/MENTION] bumper on [MENTION=106176]wfo9[/MENTION] . I prefer the idea of not cutting the bumper and having a full bumper like metaltech and pelfreybuilt but this can work too. I like the combo of the plates and tubes in this design and it's weight. For some reasons, this silver/raw stands out more and I'm diggin it. I can't quite visualize it yet with the 14+ bumper but hoping they will have one soon.

Don't know if anybody has mentioned it, but that bumper you have under Pelfreybilt isn't a Pelfreybilt bumper. It is a somewhat similar design, but not theirs. Look at [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] 's rig. His is pelfrey. [MENTION=111262]pelfreybilt[/MENTION] should be able to chime in with some pics of Satin's rig.

Also, BruteForce Fab and [MENTION=82791]Relentless[/MENTION] make front bumpers now. I don't really know how to post pics though haha. I am learning.

Great thread! This helps a lot. Would be nice to make a collection like this for rear bumpers, sliders, and other armor options and have them stickied.
