I ordered and installed the full kit from anytime backup camera. I didn't notice and quality difference between the front and the OEM backup camera.
I actually think the OEM camera looks better (to my eyes at least). I really just want that aims lower or has the ability to adjust the aim. I wonder if anyone has installed this INSIDE the car? so that it looks down from the top of the windshield.
I have a C4 Lo Pro bumper with bull bar that covers the the camera. I just cut a notch on the grill the width of the camera, used VHB tape and a zip tie to secure it in to place. View from the camera is great. The quality of the video on the other hand, not so great.
I have a Demello front bumper and their fiberglass filler piece that goes between the bumper and the upper grill so I wouldn't be able to mount it there. Trying to find a camera that I can adjust the tilt on, but the ones I've seen have a different connection than the Anytime Backup Camera Kit. The kit has a 4 pin barrel style plug and the cameras that I seem to want don't have that plug on their camera.
Yea true. I have mine pointed almost straight down to see rocks/parking/etc., but it works for me (definitely not a sharp image). To OP's defense the oem camera isn't exactly the sharpest image. I could see wanting a crisp image up front when navigating obstacles.
